I know a lot of people like these but I hate anything with seeds don’t matter how small. The only thing I can tolerate is strawberry shortcake and strawberry rhubarb pie. I’ll be giving these away. We have a bunch of bushes growing along our garage.

Oh I love blk. caps. Makes great jam and pies. Beetles are bad, I have to spray when these winds die down.

What are you spraying with? I heard dish soap and water work well but never tried.

Sorry I didnt get to this sooner. I am a Seven user. Dust around the base of all my squash and cukes. Spray on all non flowering or fruiting bushes and trees. So my chestnuts and my hazel nut trees. These are hit the hardest of all, besides my grapes and beans. I grow pole beans so they get sprayed due to the amount of growth before theywill flower and fruit. The beetles are in full attack mode right now.

Yesterday I started my first round of planting for the fall garden. Peas and slinach. I have a ton of zucchini but the yellow failed so yellow goes in this week more kale, coollards , and califlower. Broccoli went in yesterday as well. I have so many pole beans growing now I dont need to plant bush beans but they are another great plant.

This is just a bumper crop year for berries. The blue berries just really got started and I've picked 20#s 4 quarts of raspberries. I may get more than 100 #s of blue berries this year. The tomatoes are fruiting, peppers are struggling with the disease they had when hubby bought them. I've been removing leaves and spraying, but I fear I'll only get a few peppers. Thank heaven for the Amish in these cases. I am getting great hot peppers though. Cabbage are heading, Corn took off and beets, carrot, and all greens are very productive. Cukes ars loaded with flowers and zucchini is producing. Winter squashes and pumpkins are vining, eggplants are huge and flowering, peas are producing heavy.

Put up 10 pints of medium heat salsa this weekend...

Made good use of the jalapeno, bell peppers, red onions and abundant tomatoes...

Lots of corn cross fingers, I can't eat ..lol peppers I thought were goners I kept pulling infected leaves some too bad and pulled plant. Blew up with viable flowers and some peppers now growing..eggplant no flowers all summer boom! Now if weather holds out until mid Oct. lol

A raccoon pulled down my biggest blue Hubbard on the way to the corn...so much for the fencing. I do horde something's, because I know I'll need them. I had a bag of onion and citrus mesh bags. Saving them for many years. They are now cradling my pumpkins and squash that are growing on the fences.

Tarps came out last night. 33 degrees. As per every year the peppers decided not to put a push on flowering just as fall got here. If I can nurse them through next 3 days they may be able to still produce. Next week is another warm up.
Made some dang good poppers last night. And the eggplant followed in the pepoer tradition. They are loaded with tiny egg plants. Had 2 of the big ones sliced and roasted in oven last night as well with zucchini spaghetti in a homemade sauce,so good.
