Hot weather hunting

    I am stationed in South Carolina and there deer season comes in Aug 15th. I am from west virginia and i am used to cold weather hunting during fall and its a totally different. I need some hints on clothing and what places to hunt i have a few ponds but the deer move alot at night an i need some help..

    Dress in light weight clothing and get a Thremocell!

    A good lightweight face mask is a must as well

    If it's really hot, your best bet for daytime movement is to set up near those water sources. They will be particularly great spots if they are the only water for a good distance around.

    thermocell for sure and dress very light..... im going to oklahoma in 2 weeks its gonna be a hundred degrees we are going after hogs. its gonna be a blast if we can stand the heat that is.

    Where you stationed in SC, I spent a few years in Charleston back in the 90's. Boy was that culture shock, going from Norfolk, to Charleston. They treat the military so much better than the people in VA do. If I were to move south it would be there.
