    I like to use quality doe estrus during the rut.I'm wondering what you think is the earliest dates it will be effective

    I'm in Louisiana, I move around alot though being in the army, My home state is Wisconsin, I know the rut changes from area to area especially in the far South where the rut can be spread out for months at a time. This was only a guess on my part. If I were you I might contact the DNR to see what there predictions are on the rut but there are also websites that will give you rough estimates. I know you deffinatly do not want to be using that stuff way to early though the deer will know somethings wrong. Again it really does depend on where your from.

    Living in Illinois i usually start using attractant scents around the first of november. An easy way to find out is simply watch buck activity in your area. Either from a stand or driving country roads, look for bucks chasing does! thats a key indicator that rut activity is happening
