    I was just wondering if there is and siginficant difference in the hostage and the hostage pro.i know ones plastic and ones aluminum but does that really make a big diff in the scheme of things beings one it 80 and the other iss 40?? thanks Ken

    I used to have a PSE sight that was plastic, and metal. There was a dove-tail kind of design that was used to slide the whole sight group up and down for adjustment.
    I never got one season, before the dovetail thing would snap, and my sights would fly down range.

    Never will I use plastic again. It had better be metal.

    I assumed that it was from shock.

    The hostage pro has adjustable brushes to fine tune to the diameter of your arrow shaft. The hostage pro also has clearance to shoot blazers as the original hostage does not. Also the hostage pro has better adjustments for fine tuning your center shot and matching your nock height.

    I don't know if it makes a difference but i know i have a hostage pro and i love it is an awesome rest in my opinion.

    Did you have any difficulties with the brushes wearing off?

    I have only used the rest all summer and one whole deer season but i haven't noticed any off the brush's wearing off.
