Does anybody know if it’s possible for a doe to have an antler? Last year, I swear I saw a doe with a horn and she had a fawn with her. The antler was about six or 7 inches long. I think I see her again in a trail cam picture this year and it’s just that same 7 inch antler on the left side in velvet. Didn’t know if does ever have horns or not?

My brother killed a basket maybe 15 years ago and it turned out to be a doe. I'll try to find the pics. But yes I ensure you it is possible

Antlered Does are possible, just like a bearded hen turkey .. many years back I shot with a slug gun what appeared to be a small buck in velvet, but it was Nov. , anyways, when I rolled it over it had nipples, no 'junk' so to speak and I said , 'hell, a California deer' , it was checked in as the Doe it was ... the DNR Check station took pics, weighed it, aged it... ... ... antlered Does happen in about 1 per 10,000 animals ..

Well if they can't I watched a very disturbed fawn "nursing" off a buck a few years ago!

Since it's so rare I would absolutely mount it.

Idk the accuracy behind this, but we had a deer when I was younger that would never shed her antlers(small 6). Talked to someone at the DNR and they said that it most likely is a female.

Someone asked me if this doe is likely to produce bigger bucks? Do you know if her condition will affect fawn size?
