TheHardWoods913, that's a great video you put together there....great shot too! I'll try to work on my video soon, and since I had it on the head mount, when I draw back and shoot, you don't see the impact point.

Thanks man! Yea it did the trick lol. She jumped the string on me a little and I hit her a touch high, but it came out in a good spot..she only went about 60-65 yards. Looking forward to your vid man! Hopefully we all lay down some sick footage this season like rockstars

Finally got out in the woods to do a pull at one of my cams on public land. Was I surprised...

He had a couple little buddies too, but he was the biggest.
Never mind the date...I'll figure that out one of these days...

Looking like some possible rain here tomorrow and Saturday so I'm going to broadcast my "poor man's" food plot tonight after work. Primarily going with buck forage oats, rye and winter peas. It's a bit late in the year for the brassicas at this point so I'm going to skip them. Last year this plot did fairly well and the deer were visiting it on a regular basis. Hoping for similar results this fall. Hopefully this rain hits us or we may be hunting over a dirt plot.

Plot in background of this photo.

Justin, how many more days until you head out west? And are you going to try to keep everyone updated while out there, or will we have to wait until the BHOD episode?

I leave on Monday and start hunting Tuesday. I'll do my best to keep everyone updated depending on how much time I have and how good the reception is. If nothing else I'll try to update at night when we're done hunting.

Awesome! Good luck out there, I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that a big buck makes a mistake and walks in front of you!

I was a little disappointed when I checked cam. If I want to do some doe management I will got to my first stand. I've got probably 150 pictures of does and 5 bucks. Only two decent bucks and another small one. I'll got to my second stand if I want to get a shot at a buck.

Well guys - bags are packed and I'll be en route to the airport at 5:00 tomorrow morning. I get into Wyo around noon and should have plenty of time to get settled in, shoot my bow a bit and do some scouting before dark. Season opens Tuesday morning and we'll be hard after it. I'll try to post updates when I can. :tu:

Thought I'd share this with you guys...these are before and after pictures of a rack my wife found about 10 years ago behind her parents house.

As you can see it was in pretty bad shape, we figure this deer must have been shot (possibly poached) the fall before, as she found it in the spring. Below are some after pictures, my parents had it restored as an anniversary present for us, I think it turned out pretty good!
