I don't normally get any velvet pics of nice bucks. They tend to show up in October. The 80 acre tract I hunt floods so the deer move I and out of the property depending on water level. But I'll post any good pics if I get some.
Wow, leave the thread for a little bit and apparently you get nominated captain As long as there's not a whole lot of in-depth, detailed work that needs to be done, I guess I'll be captain. As for team names, I'd go with Hornacity over PB&J....and the only one I could come up with quickly was Blood Trail Brothers.
You'll have to ask Justin or Fitz what you have to do as captain. I didn't want to be captain for the same reasons.
There really isn't much to do. Make sure all your team members are checked in, make sure people are posting their scores when they shoot a deer, and weigh in with your vote if there's an issue that needs to be voted on. There's not much involved to be honest. If nobody wants to do it I'll represent for our team. Up to you guys.
I like Hornacity too Here is what Im seeing so far this year. I do have a couple pics of "Buckaneer" in early growth but nothing since May which has me a little concerned. He is my largest buck i had a shot at last year and this year he should have been a 160" class deer.
Couple nice up and comers. May shoot the 3rd main beam buck but need to see him after velvet is off Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
Well we went out and mowed our clover plots tonight. I checked the camera right next to the pond and the plot and had a nice looking 8 pointer in velvet. Nothing huge but very symmetrical and fairly long tines. I put my dad on the 4 wheeler to do the mowing while I ran around and did a bunch of filming. I absolutely love this new GoPro I got. So much fun taking short clips.
Does anybody know how to make a cool logo? Hornacity has 4 votes, PB&J has 4 and Treestand Mafia has 2 depending on how you count them and if anyone changes their mind I added my vote to each of them because they all are pretty good.
I'm fine with anything really, lets decide though and get a def team captain so we can get our team checked into the thread for Fitz. On another note and not deer related, I got a call from my taxidermist yesterday saying my fox mount was done. Shot this guy last waterfowl season while he was stalking two mallards on the shore line. Not 100% on how I feel about how he came out yet, but I feel he's starting to grow on me. Just wanted to share with the team.
Here is me just doodling at work with something. I am by no means a pro or very good at this kinda stuff
