I hope I'm done with the honey do list until after deer season:rolleyes:

My wife has kept me busy this year.

After seeing a commercial for the rustoleum restore deck finish, I made the comment that we need to do that to our deck. Next thing I know, supplies start piling up in the garage.:what:

I have really neglected the deck since moving it to our house about 10 years ago and it really was showing it's age.

    We started with this.

Moved on to power washing and we had this

All the overhangs were shot and the mounting of them. Had to completely redo all of them. Didn't use pretreated because the restore stuff said not to . I completely sealed the overhangs on top and bottom with the sealer.(all sides)

Got the overhangs done and started sealing. First coat.

This section was really bad and after only 1 coat looked much better.

Looks great Todd! That's the stuff I used on the floor of the sauna I built. I really like how works.

You keep doing such a nice job and your list will keep growing :busted:

It is some great stuff and I highly recommend it on decks around pools. Has just enough grit to keep you from busting your arse;)

I have to say, my wife was right there the whole time. She power washed the whole thing and did All the railings. I told her if I had to do the railings that I might snap and hurt someone. :o

I took care of the rest of it.

Nice, so is it finished like a semi-solid stain? I like that it seems to be showing grain unlike solid stains.

My projects are not all done yet:(

And yes, it cost a small fortune but looks like it will be worth it. That 1 bucket was $78

    Very nice, tfox!

I'll tell you what.... If you ever decide to tile your floors let me know. I'll bring my tile saw and we'll get it done. All you've got to do is buy beer for when the work day is over and take me hunting a couple of times. :D

I can take you hunting without the work but thanks for the offer. Wife hates tile so I doubt that will happen.

It completely covers. It will fill a 1/4" gap The one pic up close was just after first coat. You could get by with 1 coat on a newer deck and see much more of the woods natural grain but mine was just too far gone to stop there.

Looking good. We are waiting for our deck to fall apart so we can get stamped concrete.

Looks good! I'm planning on making a shooting tower in the backyard for practicing with my bow, and was gonna use this for the floor and rails. This pretty much sealed the deal :D

For the rails, just mix a little water into the stain. This will make it much easier to brush it on. It is really thick and hard to spread if you don't.

Looks great. those power washers sure make quick work. Beats sanding.
