Anyone have one of these? Preferably the 10 footer. Looking to get one but am a little worried about the strength of the blade when extended.

I've got the 10 footer. I was going to get the 5, but Justin convinced me to get the 10 and I'm glad he did. I bungee it to my climber when hiking in, and you don't even know it's there. Strength is good on the blade. The blade is more flexible than other pruning types of saws I've seen, kind of like a good filet knife. They also sell replacement blades for cheap if you ever need it. Great product, can't believe it took me to long to get one.

I have the 5 footer and like Matt have it attached to my climber. The original blade didn't have any set to it so it would get stuck in thicker branches. I offset mine myself, but I think the newer ones have blades with the offset. Never had a problem with the blade strength.

John is right, the newer blades are offset. That thing is really VERY sharp.

I have both the 5' and 10'. I never even took the 5' out this year as the 10' is plenty compact and an awesome saw. You wouldn't be disappointed.

Steve - your saw should ship out shortly. We ran out of 10 footers last week, and Hooyman was at the ATA so they aren't shipping more to us until Monday. PM me your shirt size and I'll toss one in the box for you.

Dude...Really? That's NOT what I wanted to see this early in the morning... I frigging threw up in my mouth a little...;):D

On a more serious note... I have the 10' model and it works great. Since it is adjustable you can also use it as a 5' (or so) saw too...;)
