Is there a longer version of this saw on the horizon? I want to buy one but am concerned it will not be as long as I want it. Is the new, longer version still going to be as compact in the closed position? JZ, TG, JFergus, you guys have an update?

    Thanks, LAEq

Thanks Peak. I think I will just get the original for my pack, and use my Fiskars Ext. Pole for everything else.

Your welcome. Also I was told they changed the blade with a little help from JZ and Dukemichaels.
Mike could probably elaborate more on this.

Yep, if you get one with straight teeth instead of offset you need to put the blade in a vise and offset the teeth so it clears out a bigger path. With the old blades once you got a little sap on the blade it got real sticky and would bind in the limb. The offset teeth work much better.

Sorry I wasn't able to respond quicker but Peak is definetly correct. We checked them out at the ATA and they are real nice. They will be available here on the site soon as they come out!
