I'm starting to make out my X-mas/B-day wish list for this year.

One of the thing I would like is Hooyman saw. Which do you prefer the 5' or the 10' saw? I assume the 10' saw doesn't fold up as small? Is it heavier? Is the 5' enough for most treestand trimming? Help

Please comment on which one you have or would buy and why. Thanks

I currently have the 5' and constantly wish I had the 10'. I'll be picking a 10' up before next season.

I also have the 5' and am hoping to pick up the 10'.

To be honest I don't know that it is a bad thing to ask for both. Sure that you can find practical uses for each depending on hunting location and time of year!

I'm also going to put it on my x-mas list. The way I look at it is you can cut everything w/ the 10' foot you can w/ the 5' but you can't cut everything w/ the 5' you could w/ the 10':D

Right but is there any disadvantage other than price? How big does it compact down? Does it take up a lot more room in your pack? Is it heavier?

Well the 10' compacts down to 28" and the 5' compacts down to 12". The 10' comes with a shoulder strap to carry it with.

Okay thanks. This just made my wind up. I have a tree trimmer for the real log stuff but 28" to carry everytime into the woods? Too much for me.

    I think I'll get the 5'.
