Im heading into the Hoosier National Forest on Thursday, March 1st to scout some areas pretty far back from any roads and hopefully find a few sheds. If you’re interested in walking about 10 or 12 miles and want to meet up to do some scouting, pm me. The wife nor any of my friends want to hike that far so I’m trying to find somebody motivated to scout some deep public land with. Disclaimer: I’ve never hunted in the Hoosier National only hiked a few times and camped.
I would love to go with you and would seriously consider it but I have a CPR class that day. What part are you going to? Blessings.........Pastorjim
I have a few spots picked out off of Henderson Creek Rd. Let me know what day you can go maybe the next week and I’ll take a day off of work, bc I’m sure I won’t be able to see all I want to see in one day.
I believe it’s right on the Monroe/Lawrence county line. I have some spots picked out up in the Charles Deem wilderness but they’re a pretty good hike.
I'm a bit late to the thread, I just joined the website a few days ago. I'm scouting and getting ready to hang stands down in Yellowwood and Hoosier National. I normally go down Friday or Saturday for most of the day. Let me know if anybody else is that direction doing the same thing.
Do you do this every year? Just moved to Indiana this month. Excited for October to come. Sent from my Z971 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Ok. I will try to make it out next year. I live on the Western outskirts of Indy. Sent from my Z971 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
