I have another stand to set. It's a long walk and way to hot here so I'm going to wait for the weather to break or a rainy day.
Sadly yes, mowing quad trails and spraying entrance trails for last time this saturday...moving one set up and setting up one final one.....aaaah! Oh and gotta close down mineral sites by digging up and fencing off.
Not much to do here , we hunt the same spots year after year and just leave our stands year round . I'll sit a couple of observation stands early on in season and will put up a new set if I get one patterned . Local farmers take care of our plots so about all I am wanting to do is take a little inventory.
I am all ready for the year. Less than 2 weeks and I will be in the stand. A little scouting will be done a couple days before. That's about it.
I need to change that. I'm out of Delaware now so, strictly hunting PA. Pocono's area, on public land. Last year was a very bad year for me on deer sightings. Looking to rebound this year. I have some great public land to hunt from. Waiting on a doe tag as well. PA opens in Oct. Heck...if I was still in Delaware, it would open in early Sept.
Trying to figure out a new area after moving can be tough but once accomplished it can sure be rewarding . Good luck and hope you get that doe tag !!
