I really think we have a fantastic chance to win this thing. We already have the hard part done (bucks). IMHO we are 3-4 does away from shutting the door on this whole thing.

Don't do deductions for the contest. 86 and change is what I get without deductions. Still great to see it up, thanks bud! Go slay another!

bloodrunner - Not a big deal and happy to help but you have a couple of mistakes on the scoring of that deer. I shot a deer almost identical to him several years ago so I know it can be confusing.

First thing - He has no G1's. So your tine scores would be G2's and G3's.

Second thing - I can't see on your score card, but when I do the math it appears that you didn't give yourself credit for H4's. Your H4 measurement is taken halfway between the center of the base on G3 and tip of the main beam.

Let me know if you need help with this....

I was going to say the same thing as tyni. I've eaten tags for 5 years in this contest and never entered a buck that broke the 100" mark before this year. Congrats on your deer and let's rally around the rest of the guys that have tags left so we can keep this group together for next year!

Bootlegger the fact that you dontated the meat to you church (?if I remember right) means more to me then if you knocked down a 200" deer to add to our score.
This is my first year I will be entering a buck into the contest.

Thanks! yeah, that little broken buck went to the church. This is by far the worst year I've had not seeing any good bucks. I mean I've the same 8 point twice but could not shoot either time. I got about 6 good ones on camera and one VERY nice one. Just not sure what's up with them this year....lol.

All deer get 4 "H" measurements regardless of points. I was surprised to learn this too but trust me it's accurate.

This link describes it as best as I can find online.........

    SCDNR - Wildlife Information

You don't need the scoring app, just take the measurements and write them down and then add up.
