Thanks bud, the mornings suck, midday I usually get okay like now....but man evenings and trying to sleep are atrociously bad with the cough and deep chest issues....swear it has to be walking pneumonia or d*** near. So...I've decided since I can't and won't be hunting soon...how about we fill up this thread and my phone with some BBD and doe down texts and pictures!! Good luck fellas....

(if after like 6pm chances are I won't respond, I'm in a nyquil induced coma...for the hour it works...)

We are definitely sitting pretty well for this. This season's title is definitely attainable. I'm excited for us. I hope I can add at least another 50 points for us with my first bow buck. Gonna be making a switch to concentrating back on food sources soon.

Been in the woods about an hour now and nothing so far. Sure hope something happens for me tonight. I only have about 10 or so pounds of Veni left from my early season doe.

Well....today was opening of Rifle season here. So my luck will be slim the rest of the year. I'm sure after this morning their scared to move...lol. Didn't see a thing myself but the road hunters on the backside of my land had some luck from the sounds of it...lol. Poachers make me ill...

I hope everyone has had a good weekend hunting. I pulled one of my cams this morning that I haven't been too in about a month. Got a picture of the biggest buck i've seen around my area in a long time. He is a 10 point. Only got the one picture of him, sure hope he is still alive and wants to make my land his home. I showed Ty a pic of him on Facebook. Mr. Crabs.jpg

Good luck to everyone looking to close the season out with a kill.
I finished my season off with a Great rifle hunt. I managed to tag this buck and a mature doe. When I checked her in the Game and Parks guy aged her at 8.5-9.5 years old. Fore sure the oldest deer I've ever shot. I took my son out with me the entire time and he had the best time of his life. Here is a shot of him posing for a photo I sent to his mom. She didn't know what to think of the situation.

Awesome job NebBowhunter! Love the picture of you boy!

For those that haven't heard or seen Nick (Coheley) put down a BRUISER of a buck yesterday for us, rough quick score is over 140...HUGE CONGRATS bud! Pics are in the thread by Matt titled "Hey Tony, I got a text..."

I'm finally getting healthy boys but this week is crazy busy with work...I may get to hunt Thanksgiving even after our family lunch but otherwise it'll be Saturday or Sunday before I get out. This weekend is the end of gun and atleast at the Homestead we have a ton of good bucks still on hoof as of the 21st-23rd on camera pull from yesterday, including an awesome new wide clean 10 pointer.

Will be finding out this weekend probably if RD still walks as well....camera pulls there to come.

Keep it up fellas few more does and maybe a buck or two and we may be setting pretty!

Bootlegger - Thats a awsome buck
NebBow- congrats on a great buck sounds like u had a awsome weekend with your son. Thats what its all about
Ty- you are all over them its just a matter of time before u end up in the right spot at the right time

I was very fortunate to knock down a 4.5 year old buck Ive been after since last December. even though I didnt get it on film it was a huge accomplishment for me with all the hard work that went into getting him.

Well I won't be able to get back into the woods until the weekend after next. Next weekend I'm going back home to central PA to slaughter and butcher some hogs. My family gets together every year around this time and does it. We are doing 6 hogs this year and they're all being split up between the participating family members. It's gonna be a LONG weekend of butchering.

Im hear and well! Been busy with work and butchering up my deer along with a doe my dad harvested Friday! My buck scored in at 87 & 3/4 just entered him in on the score thread! Been out a couple times, saw a bruiser of an 8 come in to about 50yards but no shot. Ill be back at it thanksgiving after the snow storm hits.
