I'm thinking about getting a Heater Body Suit soon. I did buy the UA Treestand Baselayers and man those things are warm.

bloodrunner - Can you get that buck scored and entered this week? It would be awesome to have him counted in Fitz's next update.

I did a quick tally, assuming bloodrunners buck is 100" and including Nebowhunters buck we are around 915 points. We also have 6 guys that haven't scored does yet so that could really help us as well. We are in a great spot, I'd sure love to win this thing..........

Nick is a sure 50pts if not more at some point, I'm gonna hunt the brassicas late season and lay some kind of buck down (probably not RD but eh beggers not choosers is the saying I guess) and yeah we lay some does down this team could flirt seriously with 1500 points!

I was planning on laying a doe down this weekend but I may be going to Ohio so it will get pushed back till next week. I will be out Tuesday afternoon, and have a 4 day weekend next weekend for the holiday. So sometime in that frame I should knock down a doe at least. Hopefully this weekend I can fill my ohio tag.......... And really its just a matter of time before I meet up with a buck on the public. At this point haveing both my buck tags here in MI im just going to be going for a solid MI public land buck and if it happens to be one of the bigger ones then sweet. 90% of my hunting the rest of the season will be with my bow. There may be a time here or there I will take the gun

No worries my friend. I ate tags for several years in this contest, I just didn't know if guys realized that we already have enough bucks killed to win this thing if we shoot some does. I looked at prior years and usually 1200ish points wins this thing. We could get there just on does.

I can be at fletch's place in a couple of hours, I might just flatten his tires before the weekend hunt. :ninja::moose:

I'm sure fletch is due for a good one, he knows what he's doing and he's in one of the best places in the country for big deer. Good luck this season!

It's sure been a great season so far for this team and it is an awesome team to be a part of . Nothing would thrill me more than to see you guys lay down a few more deer and push us to the top of the leader board for good . With as active and competent as you guys are we could be at the top for a few years :woot:

Now get out there and kill something !!!

Alright change of plans, no Ohio this weekend. Tomrrow I will just be using it as a scouting day. I will be going to the lease checking cams there and seeing if it would be worth hunting there or not. I will be pulling a couple cams and taking them to the public land. I have a few spots picked out that I am going to put them at with a little corn just to help get a invatory real quick. With some snow on the ground I will check out a few other spots out there also. I have only been hunting one spot out there so far this year and to be honest I do not want to hunt it when there is snow on the ground. Its a honey hole that I dont want people to be able to follow my tracks to. Rain is in the forcast for both saturday and sunday so not sure how much hunting I will actually get done this weekend. If the weather allows I will get out as much as I can.

I'm on my near death bed with congestion, throat and chest issues here...so no hunting this week or weekend for this guy. It's grit through the work days, go home and sleep/rest/drug & repeat. No worries though, while I hate having to be buckless at this point...the brassica plot late season should give me some serious late season chances....I will be hunting Kurly too around Thanksgiving as I assume I'll feel better by then....and hopefully Kurly is still alive (unless Pops gets him).

Yes he is. After studying his pics I honestly believe he's a 130+ deer, his beams have to be long in order to stay as wide as ears yet still curl enough to cross tips. Carries his mass throughout pretty good too. Just cool animal period.
