Yeah we are currently in 3rd...Fitz just overlooked our score when highlighting. Blood's buck is awesome step to catch up and I bet we hear from him again here soon with a 2nd buck or doe down (gut feeling). This weekend if I can get my health under control will be hunting an awesome communal scrape between two bedding areas by Homestead...it is the gun opener but no hunting to my East on 40 acres of bedding and the bedding to the West if any movement should move my way as the wind direction should carry the idiot hunters to our Homestead's north scent right towards that bedding area. Not gonna have a RD chance but some solid bucks are there and Kurly is really garnering my desires despite that meaning hunt for RD would be over this year....gonna be freezing cold too so movement should be good if I can stay all day. (Kurly is the big main 8 that touches nearly beam to beam)

    Awsome buck congrats.

Ty now that gun season is rolled in you just need to knock down whatever will get you going.
I will be hunting one of my other places saturday morning then jumping over to the public land, I will be leaving my things up and hunting there Sunday to. Since it is archery only it shouldnt be effected by gun season. To be honest at this point The busted up messed up rack guy is in trouble now after two encounters. He is mature in my eyes and really thats all that matters to me. Also had a the big 9 show back up one night and a new no brow buck that I am having a hard time deciding on just cause hes only 2.5.

Oh and I'll have my bow in hands fellas Saturday...no worries there :) Come muzzleloader don't hold it against me if I got a tag still and RD is hitting the brassicas if I carry both gun and bow.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I caught that also and discovered that he miscalculated the 3rd place teams score . We are in 4th place ..... but not for long :woot:

I have a pretty good feeling about Saturday morning. It's gonna be nice and cold and weather seems it will have a positive effect on movement. I sure hope I can get my first buck with a bow soon.

I'm good for a doe late season. However the next 11 days I will be rifle hunting with one deer in mind the big wide 8 I stuck two weeks ago. The stars have really aligned hear for rifle season temps are 20 degrees below norm and the chasing has really just begun to hit full stride the past couple days at least on my property. Good luck this weekend guys.

This has been an....awfully. slow. Season. Maybe another sit or 2 to try and take a doe. After that it'll pretty much be all gun.

Mine has been very slow as far as Bucks. I mean I'm thankful for the 3 deer I've taken so far, but come on big boys.

Bucks are dropping on all of our property with the start of firearms season but I can't seem to get one close enough for a pistol shot .

Thought I'd share the sons buck and my brothers largest buck ever :woot:
