I was out again last Saturday. Not a tail near my stand. Very little signs but, I'm hanging in there. On the way out of the woods I kicked up a single doe and ran across a small 6pt. Just starting to see a few rubs. Only found one scrape. Camera activity is mainly night time activity. Next two weeks will be good. Hoping to spend two days in the woods this week.

Extremely proud !!!! This was her 3rd buck in 4 years and I hated that I had to miss it but they sent lots of updates and I made it home just in time for the recovery . IDK it was pretty nice that the buck was field dressed when I got there :D

    Thanks all !

Been an awesome last few days for us !! Raven shot her 3rd buck and we hosted a youth hunter from the KC area that shot his first deer ever :biggun: Almost ended up a disappointing weekend for them as a stud of a buck made an appearance for them on Sat. morning and as it was exiting from 50 yards , in there shooting lane , they discovered that the gun wasn't loaded . In the end though , he did get a shot on a 5 pointer and saved himself from having to ever "shoot something better than his first buck" (I totally don't believe most kids worry about that :)

Then not hunting related , I got an anticipated call today and the results caught me off guard . As last night at midnight was the cutoff for anyone to contest our adoption of Ravens little brother , our attorney called to say "Nov. 21st we go to court to finalize our adoption" ........ got to admit , we thought it would take 60 days to get a court date and was shocked that this would be finished in just over 2 weeks . I'm so excited I can't hardly think straight ...... and the bosses should go ahead and send me home , cause I sure ain't doing anything right :D

Got out on Tuesday for an all day hunt. Only tail to show was a doe right before dark. I was hoping a buck would come by sniffing her, never happened. Doe was on by back side which offered no shot. Will get out again Friday and Saturday. Finally seeing some rubs and scrapes!

I have 3 days of "work" left before I go hunting for 7 days. I don't think I will be getting anything done but I will be here. A cold front will be going through right when I get there on Tuesday so it should get the deer up and moving. I can't wait.

Well guys put down a nice buck last night he scored 132 5/8, I just posted him to the scoreboard. Its been a week of highs and lows. Last Saturday I shot my number hit lister. He is a wide crab claw typical 8 at least a 22 inch spread and massive G2's easily a 140"+ buck. Unfortunatly he was slightly quartering away and he jumped my string and I hit the back side of his shoulder. I let him lay for the night before taking up the trail the next morning after following decent blood for 200+ yds I bumped him, backed out and took up trail 7 hrs later had blood for 60yds and then it went dry. Searched for two days no luck. Was really sick about it I figured a single lunged him and new he had a slim chance of making it. However he was spotted friday chasing a doe and again Sat in our bean field. Was out last night and the bucks were on their feet early seen my first buck at 2 and a total of 7 different bucks 3 being shooters one of those nights that you live for as a bow hunter. Had this guy come through around 4 gave me a broad side shot at 30yds I put a good shot on him he ran about 10 yds and stopped I put a second into his neck (adrenaline was pumping and I was rushing to get another arrow in him, wasnt aiming for the neck) wasnt going to let him get away. Well good luck and congrats to everyone who has already had success. The bucks in my area are still mainly seeking with a little chasing. As soon as rifle season is over I will be back at it.

    Great buck Mo Bow Hunter!

I put another 50 points on the board yesterday with my second buck guys. Not sure where that leaves us but we are in a really good spot to win this thing if we can put a few more bucks down!

Also guys, out of 12 members we only have 7 does down. We could pad our score with another 250 points if everyone just shot a doe and entered it. I bet if we did that and entered another buck or two after Mo Bow Hunter's we'd be in it pretty good.

Congrats RJ and Mo Bow on a couple awesome bucks :tu:

We're doing pretty good at hanging around the top of the leader board . Good luck to everyone that's still out there after their buck !!

Don't forget that a doe will put some meat in your freezer and 50 points on the board .

Not bad fellas!!! I know some of us are in buck mode right now, but once rut slows remember to fill your freezers and put 50 points on the board...both your bellies and your team mates will thank ya for it!

With firearm season opening Saturday it's looking like my buck contribution may be pushed to late season....know as long as RD or other bucks are hitting our brassica plot into late December I'll be hunting them. In the meantime there is 2 bucks at the Homestead that may make me shoot and not hold out for RD...homestead is all we got to hunt as our other 2 places we don't have rights to gun season.

Good luck everyone drop some does or some horns let's just make some stuff eat dirt!

Forgot my harness this morning so from the ground I hunt. Forgot my phone in the truck just recovered it a little bit ago. Definitely been a forgetful morning. Haha. Oh well, come on deer. I need some more meat in the freezer and at least another 50 points for the team of it has horns.
