Ok, thank buddy. Let know when you wear them in the cold. I don't have to buy today. Thinking strongly of the AlphaBurly ones with 1,000 grams in insulation. My feet get cold so easy for some reason...lol.

haha just for a little bit when i was letting my feet and boots air out from them sweating like crazy on the walk in.
Well we should have some mornings in the 30's over the next weeks. I am going to compare them to a pair of 2,000grams boots I had before.

I can't find the 1600gr. ones, so I may go with the 1000gram ones. I got plenty of toe warmers...lol. I looked at the muck boots...but not too sure I like them for some reaosn.

Hey Matt (Rick James), I remember a while back us finding out that we're basically from the same hometown and that we know a few of the same people from our youth. If I remember right you said you knew Dustin Fye. Just found out he got a beast out in Ohio. Not to sure of the details of it yet because i haven't talked to him yet but here's a pic. Thought I would share it.

I haven't seen him face to face in about 7 years. It's crazy how much he looks the same. I still haven't had the time to call him and get the details yet. I don't know if you knew his brother Jason but I heard he got a huge one out there also.

That is definitely one crazy buck!!

That is one hell of a Buck.
I got back from my South Dakota pheasant hunt and had a great time. Ended up with 112 birds. Something I will do again. South Dakota.jpg
We got these in about 2 hours one day.

I got a couple of weeks of work before I head out to western Nebraska and spend 10 days hunting. Can't wait for that.

    Good luck to everyone.

Wanted to get this posted last weekend but, ran out of time with a business trip to Tucson.

I was about to hit the woods Friday morning and Saturday. No real encounters however, I did walk up onto a buck in the dark on Friday morning. It was a small 6 or 8. After leaving my car, I have to pass a small field within 100 yards. The ground was wet from rain the day before combine with pretty windy conditions. When I turned the corner toward the field, I spotted the deer bedded about 20 yards away. It was facing away but, head up and moving around. I continued to walk on the path and got about 10 yards from it before he jumped up and got moving. It was a neat way to start the day. Figured it would bring me luck but, did not happen.

Saturday, hunted with my father and uncle. None of us saw a tail. Hunting the big woods of PA is tough some days. Payoff is awesome when you connect though. I know there a couple big boys around. Just timing. Will get out again this Saturday. Might have to take a couple days off soon to hunt!

Here are a couple shots from the stand. I'm repositioning it next time in the woods.

Oh - Saturday evening I got my son out with me hunting for the first time ever. We setup just into the woods near the field I just mentioned. No deer but, a nice moment. I also took a crossbow into the woods for the first time ever. Figured with him next to me, I would have a better chance with it.

I have a ton of errands to run this morning so can't make it to the woods this AM. Was hoping the weather would hold off for this evening but that isn't looking to promising. Winds are supposed to be crazy tonight and tomorrow, sustained 20+ with gusts near 40. Not looking to good for this weekend.

I have a 4 day weekend next weekend so I'm really looking forward to that.

Good luck to all that are out this weekend !!

Lots of chasing starting up around here . I wasn't able to take the daughter for the opening of youth season yesterday so had my brother fill in for me .

Yesterday afternoon they had this buck come in on them (got to admit that I was a little greedy and hoped she'd wait till today to shoot something) . Raven made a perfect 60 yard shot and the buck only made 15 more before piling up ;)
