Put my buck down tonight :woot:

I'll get a tape on it and get it entered in a little while . This is only the second time in my long hunting history that I've experienced ground shrinkage...... never try to judge them while looking straight down on them :)

But do not take that in any way , as I am disappointed in him . The adrenaline was pumping , my heart was racing , and I got to watch him go down ...... couldn't be happier .

Here's some pictures before you guys riot LOL

Had a great sit tonight ..... but the dang bucks come from the wrong direction . This is the first time I've had them come out right under my stand . I knew the first buck out but we had never seen the one that came behind him and looking straight down on him added several inches :) . I was pumped to have the opportunity to shoot him , just not used to having a buck shrink like that . Normally my bucks grow a few inches when I get to them but either way , it's hard to top the rush of shooting a buck and getting to watch him go down . Watching him drop in a spot that I can drive the pickup to does seem to add to that though :)

He ended up tapping at 121 1/8

I like how his left side all have matching curls to the inside. Pretty cool unique rack. Great deer JLS!

With JLS...if you update score we have like a 20 point lead over Team 24. :) Either way this is fun boys, great group of guys and who knows luck keeps coming our way we may have a shot at this thing. LOT of season left for us and others though, keep communicating boys and hopefully laying the hammer down more! :)

Doing a quick check-in. I was on vacation last week...not in the woods but, at the beach chasing red drum. No luck there however, it was great family time. Can't wait to get back into the woods the next few weekends! Congrats to the folks taking down deer already and having interesting hunts.

Awsome congrats on a great buck JLS. No better felling then having everything come together with seeing that deer before.

Quick recap on the weekend. Saturday morning took the dog out duck hunting only ended up getting one because I couldnt hit the broad side of a barn for some reason. Usually dont miss that much . Saturday ight i went out to the public land, ended up having a soike come to the base of the tree, caught a glimpse of a good buck about a 100 yards away but nothing more came of him. Also had a yearling come right under me right before packing things up for the night. Sunday morning was beautiful with a heavy frost but ended up sleeping in and spending time with the GF. She actualy wanted to go out sunday evening wich is always great because she hasnt been able to make it out much the last two years with being so busy with work and school. We went out to the lease and sat one of the food plots. Couldnt even get to the stand seen 4 doe and 4pt while trying to get in the stand. watched them walk off without spooking. Pretty much as soon as we got in the stand we had deer by us. Had does and a few small bucks coming by pretty much all night. Was a amazing sit with all the deer movment but what made it even better to me was just being with her in the stand.

Keep up the great work guys.

I spent the weekend out hunting in Western Nebraska and had a great time with my 9 year old boy. Only got out a couple of times but were able to see deer but nothing I wanted to shoot. My son loved seeing deer that close up. Checked camera's and we got 4-5 nice bucks that hopefully will be going down come November.

I'm heading up to South Dakota to go pheasant hunting and fishing for 5 days so that will at least keep my mind off bowhunting for a week or two.

    Thanks guys !!!

It was cool enough here to let it hang over night so I'm just taking a break from the processing. Kind of wishing I'd of shot him on a Friday so I'd have a little help around or that I wasn't so picky about what goes into the freezer ..... but it will all be good when I'm done .

Wouldn't have a problem calling him "Curly Fries" but he'll taste better with fried taters and onions ;)

We're still part of the team and I'm sure we will both hang around to lend a little moral support if nothing else . I know I'll be around .... I'm pretty excited about this teams chance of winning this contest !!!

Yeah Im really hoping starting this weekend until November 9th at least one buck will hit the ground from me. If one does theres a good chance it will be around the 150 range. Most the bucks I have my eyes set on in Ohio this weekend and turkey foot on my lease should be real close to that

I work Tuesday-Saturday, so i'm off on Sunday and Monday. I've had the worst weekend...I didn't even see a deer. It seems this time every year they are hard to find. Seems like the first two weeks of season I see a lot, then about the middle of October for about a week or two I don't see much. Should pick back up this weekend hopefully.
