How many of you always plan on laying the smackdown on a doe or two each year? I know in the past that truly has been the difference between teams doing well and not. Our one property this year the farmer wants us to get rid of a TON of does....while not too happy about it that will mean early season I have a couple stands where I'll be on 100% strict doe duty. Hope to lay a doe down opening day honestly!

I have only shot one doe in my hunting years. Never target them. This year I was luck enough to get a doe tag and plan to take the first shot at a mature doe I get! I'm pretty excited for the year.

That's awesome! Do you guys in PA have to put in requests for doe tags? Is there really that big of a limited number of them? Can't imagine this here in IN, there are years that if my freezer needed it I could have harvested 5 does off just my parent's 9 acres....with my lifetime license I can take up to 7 does a year....I've never taken more than 2 though, but this year wil lprobably change that.

I typically plan to shoot at least one doe a year. One down side is most of my hunting in MI is on my lease and the farmer doesnt want me shooting any does there which is fine by me. This year I think I am going to try and target a couple does early on some differnt properties I have. The last few years between my dad and I have only been getting two deer a season, bad part to this we tend to run out of deer meat before the the next season.

I have harvested at least 1 doe on both of the only 2 years I've been bowhunting. 1 doe my first year and 2 does last year. I plan on taking as many does as possible to fill my freezer. Also still looking for my first archery buck of course. :D

Between the two states I hunt, I have 7 Tags to fill. I hope to get a Decent buck or two and a couple doe on the ground for the freezer!

I'll end up with a few doe in the freezer just never know who will shoot them . I always take at least 1 early on in archery season but try to save some freezer space for the kid and we will donate a couple if we end up with too many . I'm fortunate that we have unlimited doe tags (archery only this year) and properties that we will never get the population in check .

As a general rule though , I don't shot a doe till my buck is on the ground but that depends on how long into the season I go before getting my buck . I do have a couple of stands that I will hit if I need to shoot a doe for freezer meat . The way my freezer is looking now , I might be hitting them stands early and often :)

We have various kinds but never really run into too many of them when in woods working, hanging stands or checking cams.

I was cleaning my garage out one day and ran into a 5foot black snake and didn't have my bow here if was in the shop so I grapped my kids Barnett vortex with like 22DL shot at it three times missed every time so I said forget it I grabbed the 1100 I'm putting Shell's in and my wife is like what the hell are you doing I said shooting a big *** snake in the garage. She jumped yelling your not blowing holes in walls of the garage and stopped me because I was going shot the hell out of it I hate them so much

Lots of people hate snakes , nothing wrong with that . The only ones I couldn't stand was the cottonmouths that I grew up hunting around in Oklahoma , can't stand an aggressive snake but have no problems with the rest of them . You all have any poisonous snakes up there ?

LOL I'd say you don't like snakes :)

We were cleaning out our basement this spring and I found a shed skin of about a 5' black snake . I quickly got rid of it before the wife seen it so she wouldn't feel the need to burn the house down .
