Hey guys I have a question. If you take a buck in velvet and get it mounted does the Velvet stay on or do they take it off. Know its a dumb question just was wondering

If the antlers haven't harden you have to inject the horn with a chemical the gets all the blood out. If they have harden you can coat the velvet with a preservative. It's a pain and you have to get it to taxi man ASAP. At least that's they way I understand it, I haven't done it yet!

As long as nothing gets damaged and it is cared for properly , it would stay on . I know that I have heard what needs done to preserve the velvet but it's been a while . You might ask the taxidermist that you would be using , he'd know best how he wants that handled .

Viewing with my phone. No problems using my computer. Just thought maybe there was something I was missing. No big deal.

I use the thread about 95% of the time through tapatalk on my phone. I also have been having an issue with thumbnail pics. I don't know of a remedy but if you figure one out let me know aswell please.

Technically I have some nuisance tags at the one farm I could fill till September 15th...but the high heat and life has limited my desire to do it.....gonna try but they wouldn't count towards this comp.

Yeah we have a early doe season, I think it is the weekend of the 20th. I will honestly probably be behind the camera that weekend but then again we are down to only just a couple packs of meat left

My season starts Sept. 15th , just need to figure out where I'm starting it at .

Did finally make out to my closest property to see what was around and snap some pics but bumped into the landowner and ended up just visiting . Did end up with some new property to hunt just not sure if I'm interested or not , I'll have to go check it out .

My season starts on Sept. 1. Here is a picture of the buck I shot last year. If I can get anything this size this year I would be happy.

I have been out of town for work so I haven't had much time to think about hunting but I'm sure when I get back on Friday I will be ready to hunt.
