We are currently looking at mid sized SUVs as well. Currently liking the Chevy Equinox, Ford Edge, Honda CRV, or Subaru Forester.

So I went and drove the Pilot yesterday. I liked it, wife likes it...and it will keep me out of a van.

    Hooker,

When my truck was in the shop for some body work the vehicle they provided for us was the Equinox, and we drove that vehicle for 3 weeks and we were very impressed with it.

Great Thread - we were debating between this and a MINIVAN! :busted: I'm hoping for a more manly pilot. TBD. :)

-Another happy Pilot family here. Wife bought a 2011 and you can squeeze 7-8 adults into it and there are around 13 cup holders for road soda's. It has been great for taking people to concerts and local bars. The only gripe I have is that it isn't the most nimble SUV on the market but the bang for the buck, reliability and fact it was made in America are hard to beat.

Wife averages in the 18 range but drives all local and no highway.

wife has a 2013 chevy equinox....pretty good vehicle coming from a saturn outlook. Great gas mileage, actually does what the sticker says. Keep it in Eco mode and you'll do well. It's not made as well as the GMC Acadia, but it's good for now.

my wife gets 20-22 in the city I get like 16-18 ;) when we road tripped from northern Cali to Alabama I was getting between 450-500 miles to a tank cruising on the highway... I love the variable V6 engine that shuts down cylinders while maintaining a constant speed!
