Homemade safety additions

    Have any of you added your own addition safety mod's to your equipment?
    I.E. I'm not sure of how to accomplish it, but I was brainstorming of a safety wire cable catch if/when regular stand cables break. I understand that your harness is there to catch you if this happens, but at least in my mind this would be a temporary hold enough to help you at least attempt to catch yourself.

    Without being able to predict where the cable would fail, it would be easier to replace them or put a second set on.

    I did buy my own climbing rope and caribiners from the local owned outdoors store to make my own prussic knot systems.
