Homemade Ground blinds

    Im trying to make a couple little blinds on a couple trails i have should i just use some limps and stuff i can find around there or use the camo mesh stuff you can buy at academy and bass pro and work around it??

    The camo mesh is a good start but it may have that "Factory" smell to it when you first buy it if you plan to use it rite away. I would use branches and other natural stuff you find in your area to construct your blind. Or put the mesh outside for a week or two and spray the hell out of it with scent blocker every other day. Hope this helps

    You can also leave the mesh outside before you put it up. That eliminates most of the smell IMO. Stay away from the burlap it never loses the burlap smell.

    I have used natural materials and now use the netting. I also bought a pack of "tarp clips" that are made to clip to tarps and allow you can tie rope to it. This allows me to have a very lightweight and quick to put up blind for areas that aren't treestand friendly.
