First, give a few a minutes and watch this *NOTE: NSFW...language) While it's short, and not fully developed (I don't think it's intended to), it had me thinking about the "what if." I'll be honest, I've never really given much thought to the homeless population in America. It's sort of that thing that you know exists, but you don't ever feel you have to acknowledge it. While, I'm not wondering if anyone has a solution, I'm more curious as to what you feel about homeless people? Do you feel the vast majority are, as the one man in the video state, "homeless because they want to be," or do you think there are more and more situation based homeless cases? Do you think you're immune to it? Could you envision a situation where you could end up on the streets? Just some thoughts I had while watching it.
The thing that I think about most is that I might like it, and I just might be good at it, and were it not for the great love that my family brings me, I could see myself with out the burdens of a home and possession's, as I do have a lot of crap!
Hmm. Alot of truth in the documentary and alot of stuff to take away. Age discrimination occurs and it's a sad fact of today's society, working hard does not nearly get you as far as it used to back 20 years ago. Alot of other things in this video too which have truths and injustices in society. With that I see why some of them are where they're at. One guy never saved for retirement, same guy had a house burned down and I'm assuming is using insurance money to stay in hotels and pay for storage. Shoot with the little he has I don't understand why he has to store it, he's homeless by choice imo. It also seems that the others don't have degreed skills whether tech schools or 4 year schools, but can't quite be sure since they don't discuss it in the video. If you also noticed the video didn't show the other homeless "bad homeless" as I refer to and it makes me wonder what the composition of the homeless really are. It probably does scare me that in worst of circumstances I could end up like them. I don't think the majority are homeless like them and there are more bad homeless than good homeless people. Just my opinion as the times I've talked to homeless or people in general, people tend to lie.
