Awesome! I never thought flat country could be so gorgeous. I would love to hunt out there someday. Congrats to all of you, and just in time to see a great Steeler's opener:D

Sorry for the belated congrats but I have said it a few times elsewhere on the boards. Didn't take long that's for sure. Great job and write up to follow. I'm going to have to get out there sometime while I still can.

GABowhunter, thanks so much. Thanks for reading.

    MO50, shed, thanks guys.

TEmbry, yeah, it sure is pretty country and I mean it when I said I left a part of me there. I too will return for round two with the right group again. I'll also return for other species.

    BOW/zimmer, thank you.

sevenmag, that sounds like it'll be a great trip. Word of caution LOL, you may need a second cameraman because it could happen quick. Greg and I took our bucks 10 minutes and 700 yards apart. Good luck with your plans, what year would that be?

Mudshark, thanks Chris. There's a trip for you to think about when Chris Jr becomes of age. I couldn't think of a better father/son time than to sit in the blind and bond while waiting on a good goat. Thanks for taking the time to read it.

Schultzy, How about it. That mule deer has a perfect whitetail rack, the brow point gives it away. Mule Deer don't have brow's do they? Imagine that 8 point rack on the small head/body of a whitetail WOW. And Thanks Steve, can you believe I was questioning shooting him, they are so hard to judge and he surpassed the P&Y minimum. So hard to judge. Thanks for the texts.

Dan, thanks my friend, that means a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed it, now check out the video.

GregH, thanks brother. When you planning on headed out?

buckeye, thanks Scott. Wish'n you could have been part of that one. We even had the Bowtech trailer for quick customer service.

Thanks Tribal, the council has spoken!

    OHbowhunter, thank you.

txjourneyman, thanks bud, It's Doug Miller Outfitting.

    Buckmaster, 130woodman, thanks guys.

Rick James, thanks Matt and the video is up in another thread. Check it out bro. ;-)

Thanks NEW61375 and your right, the Pronghorn alone didn't make the trip. Great guys should did.

ISimon4/OH, definitely add them to your list. I was so pumped when he came in finally. I even missed my loop with my release the first time and about panicked as they don't water long. I was able to connect it and come to full draw, well you see the results and check out the video. ;D

bz_711, LAEqualizer, Thanks so very much guys.

stickler, thanks Wayne and your right, now it's all about whitetail mode. Bring it Oct 3rd.

    rednas5, Nate/FL, thanks guys.

buttonbuckmaster, I can bring it. LMAO. I might grow older but I'll keep it young at heart. I had a great time at twilds the night before my flight. I can sleep when I'm dead right? Oh, and on the plane too. And to think, they put me in a blind not long after I arrived in Gillette. Yeah, I did sleep hard that night!

GMMAT, yeah, I've been known to shake it from time to time. Great group and that's what made the hunt, your right. The goat was definitely a bonus to a great trip.

    Thanks Rory/MO

    rybo, Scot
thanks guys. There is no doubt by the pics and story what kind of time we all had. I can't say enough about my camp mates. Frank, Greg, John, Bill, Kevin, CJ never stopped laughing and busting balls. It was a great time and listening to Billy the guide and Doug the outfitter/guide was more than just a pleasure.

    Huntingbry, thanks again.

PT, not sure you could have handled all us boys in camp, particularly Frankie. (Kidd), LMAO. He would have eaten you alive. LOL J/k Not sure when there will be another but I will certainly let you know. Thanks bud, looking forward to having you in "my" camp here at the house in several weeks.

rookie51, thank you. I don't have any pics of the entry and exit. We cleaned up the animals for photos and hid them. You can check out the video. You can see that I was aiming for the exit hole crossing both lungs. It was slightly quartered to as you can see in the video but at the close distance, my bows KE, and knowing me and my equipment I had zero doubt of the shot placement. It took the goat down in seconds. A pronghorn is smaller than a whitetail. I would think twice on shooting a whitetail buck that way however, I had no doubt on this goat. The quick kill speaks for itself.

KodiakArcher, thanks Rob. And "technically" I wasn't hunting in shorts, I know can you imagine. I wore them to and from the blind as it was plenty warm but in the blind I pulled on some black athletic pants over the shorts to crawl around the ground with. Took them off for the photos, again, warm out. Thanks again bud. ;-)

Ben/PA, thanks for coming up for the full uncut version of the video. And thanks for the texts and calls. Helped make the trip sharing it with friends via calls and texts. Much appreciated.

Cougar Mag, thanks CM. I appreciate that.

Double Creek, mobow, thanks so very much guys.

    Josh/OH, thanks bro!

MGH, thanks Matt and yup, Steelers won too! LOL

Thanks Siman08/OH, little doubt it was fantastic. Did ya check out the vid?

MOmighty, thanks man and the Air Raid put the smackdown on an old goat huh? The video is up!

janesburg, thanks and I'm anxious to try it too. I've never had Pronghorn so I'll let you know. I have some good meat home and I only need to thaw it, clean it up some more and cook'r up.

Gr8, I hope I didn't let you down with the story, photos or video. I read in another thread where you were anticipating it. Thanks so much for sharing it with me. I appreciate it Bob. We'll have to share camp someday. It was a pleasure shooting with ya at last years NE GTG.

dukemichaels, virginiashadow, thanks guys, it was great and an adventure. Appreciated.

michaelP, thanks my friend, I appreciate that.

TJF, Thanks Tim. I imagine you see them all the time don't you? Are they in your neck of the "woods"?

graham bartholomew, thank you, that was so very kind. I'm truly glad you appreciated the story and pictures, that means so much. Thank you.

    Predator19, thank you very much,

Rickmur, thanks Rick, seriously, get out there as soon as your able. You'll truly enjoy it and we can seriously recommend out outfitter. The link is above for CM. Doug is truly a professional and he knows his animals and his area. I find it reasonably priced as well. Good luck and thanks again.

bowmanaj, thank you so very much. I had an "awesome" trip. Awe inspiring!

Finch, Finchy, ducsauce, thanks my friend. Let me know when you want to do it. I'll do it again with the right crowd otherwise I'm off for a different species. I'll definitely do the Pronghorn thing again!

    Brknarrow, Thanks Frank.
