What a beast!!!!!!! I found this on another site, don't know the story yet except it was killed in Trempealeau County, Wi. The story and pics of the deer alive are going to be in WI Outdoor News!

What a beauty that is one stud buck for sure. Wonder what he ends up scoring he has some very impressive character to his rack. What a shame to see them go out that way.

1- Showcasing the beauty of the animal.
2- Showing the shear size and uniqueness of the rack.

AS LONG the person doesn't claim it as their own harvest.

I agree, I wouldn't mount it. I would boil the skull out and keep it as a conversation peice. I'm not spending any $ mounting something I didn't kill.

He's just a happy CO who loves his job.

The DNR will mount the deer and put it in their office, that would be my guess:)

by all means, that is a stud of a buck. but i would not mount the buck for a fireplace ornament nor would i be cutting off the antlers to use for rattling. besides, who would want to carry those monsters in the woods? the sound of those heavy horns would scare off all the other bucks....

I believe the guy who hit the deer is getting to keep it. The sheriff was there to tag it for him!

My son came home from a friends house a couple months back. First time he had went and played with this kid at his house. So the dad asks my son what his favorite hobby is and my son tells him hunting. He says to come into the den and check out his huge buck mount, the guy is supposedly standing there all proud when his boy blurts out....my dad found it dead by the road.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA

He tells his kid...."hey, why did you tell him that?" Kid: "Um, cause that's the truth?"

Some people just don't get it.
