Just checked the temp a minute ago here. Its 4:30PM on the east coast and the temperature is 103!

At this rate, we won't have to worry about cooking the deer we get this fall, they'll be "pre baked".

Looks like most of the country is feeling this one.

Not sure what it was here today but, I am remodleing our house we were renting out for us to move back in it. The renters left it a mess and the AC is out. They failed to mention this before they moved this past weekend. Running two window units in a 2250 sq ft house isn't cutting it with these tamps. At these temps I feel like I am going to be baked and not make it to season opener. I have got to get the AC guy out this week.

Yeah, by the looks of things, we won't see any relief until Sunday. It's supposed to be 90! I haven't been out of the house other than to or from the truck since Tuesday. Last night, it was almost 10pm and it was still 89. Can't even stand to go outside to shoot the bow.

At 6:00am here it was 80 and humid. I'm ready for fall already for more than one reason of course.

It's been in the mid-90's all week and the only time I go outside is to shoot my bow.

Here in Topeka KS its been over 100 everyday since the 9th I believe. Farther south around Wichita its been over 100 since the end of June. I haven't even been shooting because usually the only times I can its already after 9am which is usually over 90-95 by then and I just get soaked and pissed as soon as I walk out. Heat indexes usually are around 110-115. Right now at 3:15am its still 87 with a heat index over 90. Just absolutely insane. August is usually our hottest month but I don't see how it could get hotter.

We had 111 Friday at work. But from what I'm seeing on the news, you mid-west guys are getting it way worse.

I was going to complain about the heat today, Then I realized that at least 1.It isn't 109 degree's out: 2. I'm not 5700 miles from home: 3.Im not dressed in full BDU uniform and helmet and carrying 70+ packs: 4.there is a very little chance that anyone will shoot at me today or that i might drive over a bomb in the road.. God bless those serving... My daughter sent me this and it just fits..
