I spent literally hundreds of dollars on a bunch of custom holsters because I like nice leather pieces. Then I realized they all didn't compare to the cheaper kydex/leather hybrid Crossbreeds. I unloaded all the leather ones for a huge loss and replaced them all with Crossbreeds and haven't looked back.

Jason - That place with the indoor range in Crystal Lake stocks Crossbreed. That's where I picked up the one I use for my P238 now. Maybe they have what you are looking for in stock? They are actually less $$$ than the Galco and have a fantastic warranty.

I need one for the XDS and haven't shot there so it looks like I need to get up there.

It just needs to be stiff and preferably 1.5". I have a double layer belt made by Cabela's and it works fantastic. It's heavy and stiff, but these things tend to be a lifetime purchase and last forever. I'm not sure they make the exact one I have anymore as I can't find it on their site. I see they have a Filson brand belt that looks identical to it on their site though.

I spend $40 on a leather belt that seemed fairly heavy duty. Where the holster sits, it softened up like butter in just a few months. :( Anybody use the 5.11 nylon belts?

Also, it is very irritating that so many women's pants/shorts don't have belt loops (or at least decent ones) and if they do have loops, they're often in weird, holster unfriendly locations. Grrrrrrr....

Yes I do. Only thing I don't like about mine is the buckle. Other then that it carries well. I bought the reversible one.

I've got a "the Master's" IWB. It's ambidextrous and built like a tank. I've literally worn the same one almost every day for seven years with G26, G19, or G17 (yup- used the same holster for all three models.)

Leather Inside the Waist Band (IWB) Concealment Holster

My dad found it several years ago at a gun shop for like $45. Then he got too fat for IWB and gave it to me. I've never had any issues with it whatsoever. The stitching looks brand new, and the finish (I got a black one) is still shiny with no cracks or scuffs, and it's not like I've ever conditioned the leather.

I bout the Comp-Tac infidel for my 9mm shield. Works really well and is pretty comfortable to wear. Has good retention that you can adjust. Its a IWB holster and I usually wear it close to 4 o'clock position and its barely noticeable. Cost was around $60-65 I think and they have couple different holsters to choose from.

Yea its pretty well built, I've had it for little over a year and its held up pretty good. Dont wear it every day but have used it quite a bit.

Man reason got this one was when did buy it they had hardly any wait time. Think from when I ordered it until it got to house was maybe week and a half or little longer.

In case anybody is worndering this is how I wear that holster. Its printed alittle more since I'm turning and trying to take pick but most the time its hard to tell. Had it on most of morning checking cams and stands. Only thing I'd maybe change is some kind of sweat sheild cause when its hot like today it gets a little on it. On the gun itself isn't bad but guess it could turn some people off.

They have a couple different sized belt clips and different clips too. The one I got works well and holster doesn't move much when drawing or holstering.

I've never worn a 100% kydex IWB holster. I have an OWB for my P238 but I never use it. I know they have great retention properties and I guess they last forever, but don't all the channels and the uneven surface on the skin side get uncomfortable after a full day? What about when you are in a car, with a seatbelt on, etc? Do you sweat when you wear it?

The biggest thing I like about the Crossbreed style hybrid leather/kydex holsters is that the leather is a flat soft surface that conforms to your body. It also doesn't make you sweat like a pig when it's hot out. Not sure if you have problems with that on a pure kydex setup?

I never had an issue with sweat. Some people like leather for confort and say kydex is too rough but I think im just use to it cause they dont bother me.

Actually the edges on this one aren't bad at all. They're more rounded instead of sharp. When sitting I find the gun digs in a more then the holster. But can adjust it a little and its not bad. If remember right I think this one has a 15 degree cant on it and they may have a little more you can put on it and can do it with no cant.

Sweat is a little bit of a problem but not sure its any worse then other kydex holsters. It doesn't get on the gun much but the back side of holster gets sweaty. This company does make one that has a peice of leather around it also. Havent looked at their site for awhile so don't really wanna say for sure what all they offer.

Actually this is only kydex holstet I've owned so can't really compare it to a lot of others out there.

Do any of you guys have problems with your shirts wearing off where the back of the gun rubs against your clothing g? When I wore my beretta for a year, it rubbed through my uniform

I have been carrying every day since February, and I haven't noticed any wear on my clothes yet. I work construction, so there's a decent amount of wear potential for me.

I have one of the 5 stitch Wilderness belts with the titanium buckle, and I love it. Nice and stiff, I forget my gun is in my waistband a lot of the time.
