Crik sent me a text because I hadn't posted in here to say I was coming yet so I filled him in. Not sure how much time I will have to spend at the GTG this year, though I should still be off on Friday and Saturdays. The father in law was diagnosed with stage four Liver, Lung, Pancreatic and Hip Bone cancer a little over a month ago and we moved him into the house. I have been working 2:30-11 and helping take care of him during the days while the wife is working from home. His condition is terminal and we might have 2 months to a year realistically so I'm not sure where things will settle when everyone is in town. I am 30 minutes or so from the campground and Coon Creek so I should be able to swing by, just not sure how much time I will have to spend. If he is still doing ok I doubt I will shoot on Saturday but will hang for a bit and get my share of the grub. We have already had a few situations where we had to drop everything to rush him to the ER, that was the case last night when Crik hit me up on text. I will keep everyone posted as we get closer and look forward to seeing everyone except for In Da Woods unless he is shooting a real bow this year.
Thanks for the update Raceway. Sorry to hear about your Father In Law. Know that what you are doing for him is a great thing and family comes first. Xtreme 16 and myself will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. These times are never easy so just hang in there. Hope to see you at the GTG if you can make it even if for a little while.
Again sorry to here Jason. Really hope you can make it but if you cant we totally understand. Family is # 1 will send out some prayers bud!
Real sorry to hear that Raceway. Our prayers are for all of you. May God grant you strength and comfort. That is extremely stressful. I hope your wife will be well. Take care and keep in touch. I was wondering why you haven't been responding to any posts. I have called you a couple of times but was never been able to catch you. Again take care friend.
So this was a rough weekend for the family. The wife's father went in for scans and the news was rough, the cancer has spread to his brain. The doctor gave him 2-6 weeks and Hospice came out to the house tonight. I most likely won't be making it this year, if I can sneak out for an hour or two I will. I have no plans to shoot as I haven't picked up my bow since hunting season ended.
Sorry to hear that and prayers sent his way and all of your ways! If you need anything Bro I am not far away!
