I have a 3 year old female lab that is an experienced bird dog and catch dog, with several solo catches under her belt, but she hasn't been running hogs for the last year and a half due to her being with my mom while I had to move around a lot. She's all mine again and will never leave my side again, so I want to get her back to running hogs, but I have no backup for her as all my friends have quit running dogs, and my other dogs refuse to do it. It's never been an issue for her in the past to just go out and catch, but I'm worried that she may get injured due to not having run any hogs in the last year and a half. Any advice?
