Thought it would be cool to show a pic of the buck that is on your hit list for 2009. . Here is mine for 2009 I think he might need one more year after 2009.
Last year I was lucky enough to document quite a few bucks. But there is one buck in particular that I'd love to have. He's not the highest scorer, but a unique rack. Some stickers around the back, wrap-around main beams and good mass. I have a ton of history with him including 20 or so game camera pictures from 3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 years old. Plus 1 shed antler. He'll be 6 1/2 in 09, and probably at or just past his prime. In 06, I passed him on numerous occasions. In 07, he skirted my stand at 60 yards. In 08, my wife actually had this buck at 50 yards on 2 different occassions. The 1st time, she was ML hunting a milo field. Unfortunately all we could see was his rack, so we elected to pass. Then about a month later he skirted our treestand at 50 yards, making rubs, scrapes,etc. Got plenty of video on both occasions. If I could arrow him next year, it'd be a dream come true...
My camera has a filter on it that helps brighten the images during the night-time. Works pretty good, but also leave the daytime pictures without much color. Here's another of him..
Some of these bucks were not shooters this year, but should be this year. Ontario: Wisconsin: Illinois: The third one is much more impressive from the side and the last one is going to blow up this year.
