It's generally advisable to back off and let them have time to expire if you jump them out of one bed. If you keep pushing a wounded deer, you lower the chances of recovery by a wide margin. At the very least you're making a rough job all the more difficult by pushing them. Sounds like you will probably find him in the morning. Good luck.
Sounds like a liver/gut shot. Don't push him anymore. Let him lay down and die. Like covey said, the more you push him the harder it gets. Good luck on the recovery.
If you hit him at 7 and lost him at 9 that's only two hours sound like you started tracking right away? Even when I know I made a good shot I wait at least a couple hours to track. If you would of backed out from what little you told I would have no doubt you would have found him dead at the first bed you jumped him. Anyway it sounds like you have a dead deer if you cant pick up the trail again I would check out united blood trackers if it is legal for you to use dogs to track in your state. Its a good idea to check nearby water sources they love to go to water when they are hurt
The bubbles in the blood you found suggests you got at least one lung. A one lung hit will not kill that deer immediately. I had a one lung, spline, and guts shot almost two weeks ago. Started tracking after 4 hours and by hour five when I found where he had bedded 300 yards from where I shot him I believe I bumped him. He only went another 75 yards and died. I backed out right away and found him the next morning. The others are right you should wait at least a few hours before tracking. Your deer should be dead. Good luck.
