I agree, looks like you may have hit the near lung, into the liver and guts. Lethal but not much blood.
Buck fever is a *****!!!! It's gotten all of us at one point im sure!! Good luck this morning, keep us updated!! Can't wait to see the pics!!!
To ME, it looks like the arrow hit a spine fin and took a hard left....no telling where the head went or if it broke off .... I would get a dog...
Im leaning with dead buck. Best of luck. may not be a good blood trail but he is down somewhere within 150yds im sure.
Hes a dead deer arrow def stayed in and hes bleeding internal happen to me once on a big 6 keep looking in lower parts of the property or by water... u prolly wont find much blood but lets hope that broadhead did its job internal keep us posted
Seemed to be a real high hit with little penetration. To me I think you hit the vertebrae, missing the spinal cord. I would say he is going to survive from that. Hope you prove me wrong!!
There is no void between the spine and lungs where you can shoot them and they will survive. If you hit below the spine you are hitting lungs. The so called void is actually above the spine, and it looks like that's where you hit him.
I tried to slow the video down a little bit.
I agree, but think what your seeing is the nock end kicking over the deer's back from initertia as the broad head starts to bite and the deer drops. ~Bill
Got to be a real difficult tracking job, if you don't yet have good sign or a trail I'd say it's worth trying to find a local tracking dog. ~Bill
Still nothing, still haven't found my arrow. Grid searching the entire woods, but haven't had any luck so far. I'm going to look into tracking dogs. Does it matter that it rained all night pretty hard? Will the dogs still be able to pick up a trail? Anyone know of any tracking dogs near Manitowoc county?
