My brother Michael has been on a 2 year quest to shoot his first buck. Last hunting season, (2010) he was able to shoot his first deer, a very nice doe. During this past summer he had saved up his money and bought a new CVA muzzeloader on his own. We have practiced shooting the past couple weeks, he definitly was ready to go afield. This weekend was the youth hunt in our home state of Michigan, what better time to get on a early buck in the woods. At 8:30 this morning his dream came true, he was able to shoot his very first buck and put his hands on it. This kid is for sure hooked. I was very impressed when he told me it meant a lot to him that he was able to shoot his buck with a gun he had bought himself. Looking forward to many more years of hearing his stories and taking lots of pictures. Thought I would share some pictures with you all. In these pictures are my brother Michael, my daughter Madelyn, and myself.
terrific stuff - story and photos! I love to see someone so excited about what they've just accomplished.
Congratulations to Michael. He'll remember that moment in time for the rest of his life... enjoy young man - enjoy!
Congrats to the young man!!!! What better lesson is there in life than the feeling of something great in life that you worked for and earned honestly? I'm sure the feeling is even better for him since he saved and bought the gun himself. Keep up the good work, both of you
