I recently had a chance to put the TAS Hip Bone to the test on an Elk hunt a few weeks ago. http://www.tacticalarcherysystems.com/ The Hip Bone worked great on my 14 mile hike up to 13,850' peaks of the San Juans. I attached it to the waist belt of my Eberlestock Pack and it stayed put when I had to hurdle fallen 4' trees and scamble up shale screed. Even though my pack has a "butt bucket" for my bow, you have to be a contortionist to gain access to it. I've used it climbing in and out of tree stands as well. I just move the Socket Clip to a loop on my shoulder strap. Similar to a 3 point sling for my AR. I see that Cabela's has them on sale now for $19.99. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Tact...Ntt=hip+bone&WTz_l=Header;Search-All+Products
Looks like 19.99 is the regular price. May try one if on a good sale but i am a little skeptical of archery products that resort to ads with tight clothed females showing the product
chickenmcnasty- Try it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I bought a couple more to attach one on the lower portion of the shoulder starps on my hunting packs. If you attach it to a pack like I do, the one thing I recommend, is using a re-usable zip ties. I lost one off my pack while travelling back from Colorado. I think it came off in the Rental Car when I was loading / unloading my bags.
2xlung5h0t - I don't work or have any association with TAS. Just a Pilot, Bow Hunter and self admitted Gear Junkie. I think they have a 12 step program for the last.
If they have a 12 step program don't tell my wife. I figured this was marketing as well. Sorry for jumping to conclusions... Now if one of their reps wants to send me one i would be glad to write up a full review!
