I just received an order from the Blood Brothers; Hill County Bucks and Marsh Bucks.

Well I popped in the Hill County Bucks video last night and am almost finished with it this morning. All I can say is WOW. It is not your normal hunting video, it is a tutorial on how to hone in on large, mature bucks. It is a system. I believe I will have to watch the video at least 3-4 more times until I really understand all of it. It is enlightening to the point where I just soaked up knowledge like I have never done while watching anything else on tv or video.

I am telling you guys, it is phenomenal.

Its not just the trip Gr8, it is the journey. A sarcastic hunting barometer is not based on a single year, yet over many years, sometimes decades.

Gr8, you ever see Dan Infalt's trophy photo? Whether I have this caliber of deer around here or not, I know these guys get it done year after year on some slobs. I take what I can from everyone's knowledge. These guys know what they are doing and have put together a dvd showing others what they do. It's all good.:)

Sorry if I misinterpreted you Gr8. I have been on a guarded edge mentality since I left work yesterday. I just brought it here. Sorry again.

Actually, It's a system for locating , setting up , and hopefully killing a buck. This system is based on where they bed. This system is a year round hunting system so watching it now may help but I wouldn't judge results until next season.

In the marsh bucks DVD Dan points out it's a year round plan and not only that it's years of year round work to locate bedding areas. They point out there's " no magical pixie dust" to killing big bucks. It's hard work and dedication that does it. Their DVD's IMO help you make the most of your hard work.

Well I am off to hike up some hills before entering into a new hunting spot based on the video. I am now a member of the Hill Country occult. :)

These guys are a bunch of fakes. They shoot all their deer out of pens....

    Uh oh, here they come.

    Just kidding of course.

I've got the marsh buck video and it's great. Even though there isn't a lot of marsh land around me I learned a lot that can be applied to almost any environment. I'll definitely be checking out the Hill Country video.

    You won't be disappointed, Donnie!

There's videos that are just plain fun to watch... and then there's these guys that just take teaching and education to a whole new level.

If you're just wanting "monster buck walks in and gets shot again ad nauseum" this ain't it... but if you want to learn the intricacies of deer hunting, these are the guys.

No, these guys primarily hunt in Wisconsin. So it would be midwestern hardwoods with some topography involved. This is right up my alley because there is a lot of mountainous terrain around me.

No Greg....I don't want that. That gets a little redundant after a while. I'm in it for the educational experience. :D Thanks!

Donnie, I am not an easy person to really impress...but the Hill Country video was just unreal. You are going to really enjoy it.

Well I went out today and for the 5th straight hunt, I did not see a deer. I hunted large point and specifically a little bench on the side of it. I found three large rubs right off the bench. About 5 minutes before sundown I heard the familiar crunch crunch crunch....I could not see it yet I knew "it" was 10 yards away behind a large pine tree. I held full draw then "it" materialized into 10 turkey! My adrenalin levels were max pumped! Hahaha, dang turkey.
