Sweet! Best of luck to him TeeJay... Matthew'll be wrestling in the Optimist league again this year; maybe they'll get him right this time and not have him wrestling kids that are 10 lbs. heavier than him... which was a lot when he was only 58 lbs. to begin with ;)

Greg, dam has wrestled up in weight since kindegarden. 7th grade he weighed in at 63# he is a junior this year wrestling 106-113. Wrestling him up a little in age and weight will pay dividends in the future.

That is cool to hear. Wrestling is a great sport. I wrestled throughout junior high and high school and for 2 years at Purdue University. I currently coach at my old high school. The season is hitting full steam so it is good that I got my buck down, now I can focus on coaching. Good luck to your boys this year and keep us updated on how they are doing.

My little brother currently wrestles for the Universtiy of Wisconsin in Madison.

He needs to be down to 112 by Tue. To certify for 106 for the end of the season. He is at 116 I don't know if he can make it. I know he can make a run at the state championship at 106. He lost to the state champ last year 4-1 and 9-7. Don't know about 113. Good luck Sam.

Well the first tourney was Sat Sam took 2nd. First match :40 sec pin. Second match 15-0 tech fall. 3rd match 12-0 win. In the finals he was up 2-1 on the #7 ranked kid in mn. The tried a throw late in second period. A very sloppy attempt ended up getting himself stuck. The tournament was his to win or loose. One error ended up in a lloss. A bunch of team duels in next two weeks. The a 32-40 team tourney in 2 weeks. He placed 5th in the "big bear" last year.

He wrestled 113. I don't think he will make it to 106.
