I was out last night setting up some quick sticks and two does popped out into the field about 80 yards away. I also had a decent-to-me buck on that camera during daylight hours. 11 days to go.

My son is five and can't hunt until he is six but I take him with me when he is in the mood for it.

Heres a few bucks I will be losing sleep over, not sure what bucks these are, I think they are all young deer because I had a bunch of 2 and 2.5 y/o running around this farm. I had a buck I called Lebron last year but he moved his summer home to across the road and the other hunters on the property found him before I could, but I found the doe bedding areas so who's the real winner here. But anyways heres my updated hitlist. The first I called banana split, because his left g2 splits. The second one is highrise. The other one is named combover but I haven't got him on camera yet. I only glassed him the other night.

I never think to take pics of my bow. I took a few tonight. I am starting to tighten up my groups. This #80 Wake has a very smooth draw cycle, has an awesome valley, and is dead in hand.

Good luck. For some reason I have never had a desire to go bear hunting. We have a pretty good population of blackies here in MT. When all of the law suits are done there may even be an opportunity to hunt grizzlies, as the guidelines for hunting them have already been laid out in anticipation that they are going to be delisted next year.

In seven days I will be in a stand!:)

I went and sat in an observation stand yesterday evening. Had a lot of does come out. I am surprised by how few fawns I have been seeing. There is a pair of sandhill cranes that hang out in the cut barley field that I am set up next to. They started making noise and walking out into the middle of the field. Since that is how they behave when they see me, I started looking to see what was going on. It turns out there was a coyote trying to sneak up on them. When I checked my trail cam, he had been right next to the stand I was sitting in. I was also surprised when two does showed up in bow range. Didn't expect that in that stand. I learned a lot about where they are coming in to the field too. Six days and counting.

Well I shot bows with my friends today and we even did a photo op with our bow kills from 2015. It was a great day![IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]<br />

It is 91 degrees and feels like 100 with humidity. Still got out on my back deck and shot 40 arrows. The slope of my yard and height of the deck let me shoot from 20 feet between 10-25 yards. I am going to put out blinds and stands next weekend. Anyone else do any prep this weekend?
