Yep. I try not to hunt the family ground during rifle. My goal is to have mature bucks running around. Some neighbors share that thought but most shoot the first legal buck. Some years I'm hopeful about it and then other years I find unrecovered bucks after rifle season that I had passed up during bow.
The farm I shot the buck in my avatar has a buck over 200" on it. A couple of bow hunters saw him but couldn't get a shot. There will be one guy hunting that farm the first shotgun season that starts on Saturday and lasts 5 days. He has never killed any big bucks so they said he will kill the first 140" buck that he sees. Have to hope he can make it 12 more days to get a chance to go after him.

We are 58 points from falling out of the top three. Looks like Monster needs to kill the 200"+ Iowa deer if he gets a chance. Has anyone not taken a doe yet?

Guys I still have some bow hunting left in Minnesota and Wisconsin but my Iowa hunt is second shotgun season so I won't be adding any points that week.
