Just got down from the tree. I had this buck come in right after dark wish it came in just a little bit earlier
Posted my doe to the score card. We should be in fourth place now if no other teams scored this weekend.

So I read the score card wrong when I posted my doe. If no one got anything on the teams ahead of us this past weekend, then with my doe we will be in second place, not fourth. Keep knocking them down guys!
I just looked at the scorecard and we are in 3rd. I'm just bummed that I won't be able to add any more points.
Yeah, team 23 scored again but we are top three and a doe ahead of fourth place. Drop a doe the first chance you get and we will be right in the thick of it.
Well my son had a couple 3 pts (Twins) come by,not legal for me. No shot for him , I could have but not legal for me. However I want a little better like 100+ inches better.
Little late but I went out Saturday afternoon to a public land spot. Having just rained that morning the ground was still wet so I couldn't here anything but acorns falling. At about 3 a 90-100" eight point snuck up behind me. I probably could've shot it but decided to pass being it's the first day. A doe and two fawns came by later that evening as well but let them go too. I usually just watch the first day or two and then get into kill mode. Feeling pretty confident going forward but that could all change. Keep hunting hard.
I am sitting in a ground blind with my 13 year old daughter in Buffalo county for the Wisconsin youth hunt. This cold front should make for a great night.
Packed the lab top instead of camera gear so I could look at cards in stand. Hunting a piece I don't hunt often but I always get some decent bucks on cam. Just haven't figured thing out here yet tough when I only hunt it a few times a year. But I need to move stand and one cam going to sit out the night possibly move stand tomorrow. Invited my friend out last night to hunt, and he shot the drop tine! I'm glad for him but I really wanted to shoot him.

Eastern North Carolina, rain, rain, rain, inside watching bow hunting videos all day. Next Sat. is opener for gun season. Hope to get out some mid week and put something on the ground with antlers.
Well, I just got in from a sad night. I took my five year old with me and we sat in the ground blind. We spooked two does that were 10 Yards from the blind as we were walking in. About an hour before the end of light four does and fawns count by. I took a shot at one the does that didn't have fawn. Missed low. With about 10 Minutes of light left, a 130 inch 10 point came down the same trail. Thinking about missing the doe low, I aimed a little higher and shot over his back. Hopefully, i will get another crack at him. Last year I saw him twice without a shot opportunity. Rack doesn't seem to have gotten much bigger from last year but the body size is bigger. I think he was 3 1/2 so he is at least 4 1/2 this year.
