Didn't see a thing tonight and no pics on my trail camera had a truck drive by doing burn outs then turn around past the woods doing more burn outs and honking there horn
BAM.....last day of bow for me...stalked this girl down for 2 hours crawling on my hands and knees....got within 25 yards and got off a beautiful shot......story is in the live from the stand thread if you want to read it...unbelievable....buck down and doe down for bow....perfect season....bring on the boom sticks! shot one on sunday morning off public land. Let bigger ones walk earlier but have finals coming up which will leave me with no time for hunting:/ Some meat for the freezer!
Well this weekend is shotgun season so I won't be out and Monday morning at 2 am my wife is getting induced so I might be out of hunting for a little bit
I think I will take my bow with me as well as a rifle for our 2 week deer rifle season. just can't get the satisfaction hunting with the gun. plus it gives me an additional 2 weeks of archery.
We typically have a late rut and this year is right on track. Bucks just now starting to show interest in doe.Next two to three weeks should be most favorable. I have several target bucks and a few close encounters but nothing to show for it yet. Don't get to hunt as much as I used to but still able to get out 2-3 times a week. Hopefully I will have more to share soon.
