I was surfin and came across this site, looks pretty good, but that dont mean it is, what say you? hecsllc.com
I've seen that stuff in some bow hunting mags. I sort of wondered the same thing. It certainly does seem at times that deer just seem to "sense" your there without even being alarmed ahead of time. The idea makes sense, since we all have some kind of magnetism in us, human or animal. I'm not fully convinced though. Then again, I've never tried the stuff, so I can't say. All I can say is I personally wouldn't spend the money on such an item. For what it's worth.
Is there probably some truth, behind this ? Sure !! For example, just "knowing" that some one is looking at you. It's true. It happens. Am I going to buy into this gimmick ? Hello no. Now, I'm not the kind of person that buys into gimmicks, just ask my friends, but, a lot of companies see how "scent" related hunting gear/clothing/items have taken off, and, made people a fortune because most hunters will go to great lengths to tip the odds in their favor. I believe that people are taking advantage of gullibility of hunters, and, producing a product that we "have to have", in order to be successful.
Camo is just that... it's trying to hide you in an environment that you stand out it. Electromagnetic fields? Maybe.... However, when we kill an animal... it's as if we are in their living room. I guarantee if you put a person in my living room, it doesn't matter what they are wearing I'm going to know that something is up. I haven't had enough animals bust me when I was down wind or out of sight to buy into this. At the same time I've killed deer within 5 yards on the ground without a blind that never knew I was there...
If Geranamo can do it with a knife while butt naked, I don't think I need something to hide my electromagnetic energy. Now when it comes to scent technology, thats a different story. I believe those garments and stuff do help since now days we have so many human scents we are exposed to every day.
It is interesting and really not as expensive as a lot of gimmicks. It's actually been around a couple of years I believe. I know I have been watching a trophy move into range before, wind perfect, no movement, seemingly nothing and the animal just leave like something alerted it. I'd be thinking "What the Heck just Happened" Dan
