Hi, I'm new to this place.

My Uncle let me hunt on his property and told me that I could also hunt on the adjoining property but not to get caught by the owner because there was some bad blood. He also told me to hunt over the corn pile that het put out on the neighbors property so that the gamewardens would think his neighbor was baiting and not him...

So any way I got in the stand early and at first light I heard movement off to my right and could make out a deer, so I shot at it and it yelped and ran off. I waited 30 minutes like you guys say and then went and tracked the animal it was my neighbors Lab. It really had a beautiful coat and my shot was perfect... I'm really hooked on this bowhunting stuff...so next time I think I'lll use a bow instead of my .ouht six...any idea what the best bow and broadhead is....and what camo should I use.

I really don't want the neighbor to see me.

Congrats! Are you getting the lab mounted? Chocolate, black, or yellow? I really like the chocolates.

 

Yes I'm going to get it mounted....It is a GOlden and was really the eye catcher when I was riding thru town with it on the hood of my 72 Cutlass supreme.

I hope the blood didn't stain that beautiful coat. You getting a full body mount or just shoulder? Female, or one of those big block headed males? What did the skull score?

 

It was a female....I tried to shoot the puppies with it..but those lil suckers are fast.


Not much left of the skull actually cause I shot it three times when I got to it to make sure ya know....those things are dangerous when they're protecting their young.

PT has a point. I'm a little confused...did you shoot a YELLOW LAB or GOLDEN RETRIEVER??? In your original post you said you shot a lab, but then you said it was "golden". So which is it? The seasons do not overlap each other. You could be in big trouble, pal.

I promise and no crossed fingers behind my back that I shot a Golden Lab Retriever that has a beautiful coat on my neighbors property over a pile of corn...what I didn't tell you was that I had to climb over the cyclone fence between my uncles back yard and the neighbors back yard and the tree stand was actually just his kids slide into the sand box.

I can see real good into his wifes bathroom...and that is why I need good camo. Cause she takes her shower right at sunup and they already caught my uncle...thats what the bad blood is about....Uncle claimed he was deer hunting so thats my excuse...I haven't figured out how the deer are gunna get in the backyard anyway in the middle of town.

I've never shot a dog. How long do you hang them before you cut them up? I heard that chocolate labs are delicious.

 

Chocolate labs are desert only and everyone knows this.
