one of the clowns on this forum and he made me join! I am a longtime hunter of deer, elk, pheasants, ducks, and geese, but only recently started bowhunting. Although my gun stand is in a fairly dense woods and we are in a shotgun zone, so my gun hunting has always been a little like bowhunting in that the deer are typically 40 yards and closer and I pass up a lot of deer. I love watching deer and have seen a lot of cool stuff (like 2 great horned owls fighting). I have a 10 year old girl and twin 6 year old boys who love to go with me on every type of hunting trip. The wife doesnt hunt. I will probably bring a kid with on some of my bow hunts which may cost me in the harvesting department but will be way more enjoyable overall. I live in central MN and am an engineer by trade.
Oh, I know some of you bow nuts like to know what type of equipment people have. I knew little about bow brands, so when I bought my bow I picked out about 4 and then closed my eyes and fondled them. In the end I bought a Matthews Z7. I think I have a Montana Gold sight? No clue on the rest of the accessories. I really, really like it though. It shoots like a dream and i swear it compensates for my lack of shooting ability!
My husband has the z7 and loves it. Welcome to the board! Best of luck making memories with your kids and hunting!
Welcome to the site! Hope you like it here! Must have a pretty smart brother to "make" you join and get to know all the cool people here! If you spend enough time here you will find that there are a few clowns surfing the threads
When are you gonna tell us who your brother is!? I think we are all curious! Is the competition to see who is your brother? My guess is Fitz Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
