    Wanting to leave my boom sticks in the safe and start bow hunting, which here in New Zealand only has a small following.I have yet to purchase a bow as I only want to buy the right one.Im sure joining this forum will put me on the right track, cheers!

    Welcome to hunting the fun way. First I would say your budget will tell you what to look at. After that its what feels good for you. Best thing is to find a place that has a selection for you to get your hands on different bows. Not sure how readily available a place like that is in New Zealand since you mentioned a small following. Bow brands are like vehicle brands, each one says they are better and faster than the other guys. Good luck with your search and happy hunting.
