Hey guys just wondering what brand you guys think is better, HHA has some exposed gears so idk how good that is but Spot Hogg is hella expensive! So just wondering which one you think is better for a single pin sight.

I shoot spott hogg, but will admit, I prefer hha's pins. If I were shooting a single pin, it'd be hha. But I'm on a multi pin kick now.

Never shot a SpottHogg, But I have heard a lot of good things about them. I have a HHA DS-5519 and I love it. It is built really well and the rheostat feature is very nice. Setting it up it easy. I have the light foe it, but I have never needed it.

You will have to make that determination on your own.
All I can add is I have one on my bow and it is great.
I shoot a Tommy Hogg three pin.
The photo was a shot I made a few weeks back at 105 yards from my knees with a loaded pack on.

I like Spot Hoggs and it will be my next sight. HHAs have amazing pins but i like how solid the Spot Hoggs are and that they have less moving parts when changing range settings. I like just the up/down instead of pendulum turning wheel moving arm deal. Im sure they work fine but for hunting i want something as solid as i can get it

Never had a problem with the open gears. I don't see what problem could occur. The gear is behind the wheel and protected by the riser once installed. Nothing can get to it unless you buried the bow in mud.
