I have an opportunity to purchase a HHA Ultra DS-XL 5519 for a GREAT price. I've been thinking of switching to a single pin, does anyone shoot this sight or have any insight on it before I pull the trigger and buy it...I would greatly appreciate it.

I had one and it is a great sight. One of the best moveable sights on the market. I switched to the Spot Hogg Fast Eddie Dual Pin. If you can get that site for a good price I would say go for it. Once you move to a single pin sight its hard to go back. Least it was for me. I moved to the dual pin because I can shoot out to 40 with confidence and not touch the sight.

I do not have the DS version but have the XL-5519 and like it a lot. very bright, so bright if shooting into the bright sun I have to just about keep the rheostat over the fiber closed.

The standard 5519 retails for $159 last time I checked one at Cabelas.

If you don't like it for $10 I'll give you your money for it.

So you're only asking to brag your friend is basically giving it to you? :busted: Why wouldn't you try it for $10? I spend more than on coffee in a week :) .

The DS-XL5519 runs for about 299 at Bass Pro new. So that almost half price and is a good price if everything is in working order.

BPS, is usually more expensive on most products. However even at 140 it's still like a good deal unless it's badly damaged as you said.

To the Op, Google shopping or ebay are good quick tools I use to assess if it may be a good deal...

I have a DS-XL 5519 and it's probably the best made sight I have ever owned. It is tough as as nails and very easy to set up. As has been mentioned, once you go to a single pin you will never go back. It is definitely worth the $140. Not to mention HHA is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with.

    Blessings........Pastorjim

Same site I use and I love it. One of the best non-regrettable archery purchases I made. Shot all of these years and never heard of HHA until I caught BHoD on roku.
