Here are solutions, take an old inner tire of the bike and cut about 1/2 "inch one piece rubber, then make a hole about 5/32" and just put it over the fiber, you must ensure that the tire is not too big, when you put the rubber pin will immediately less light and will not be too bright, if you want more light, you can make two or three holes, or simply pull the rubber from the fiber, the good thing is that the rubber protects the fiber when walking through the bush or the like, here are a few pictures ... You do know you can rotate a part on the housing to cover the fibers to allow less light in right?

cool but why would you want less light? I always go with the 6' Fiber Optic.

Just use the rheostat to turn down brightness and cover the fibers. I you have the low end model rant doesn't have it a piece of electric tape will work....

Because in bright conditions, the pin will halo and become much bigger. The pin not only gets bigger but the light causes it to egg somewhat and creates a difficult aiming situation.

Put a piece of electric tape around part of the fibers that are wrapped around the housing.....dim it down.

I was going to say the same thing. I love that feature on the HHA. I have the DS-5519. Works really well to reduce light when the light(if attached) is turned on too. It keeps the fibers from illuminating too much.

Off topic question about the HHA sights..

I'm in the military and we have an archery range on base, however it only goes out to 40 yards. I want to ge a HHA for my new bow this year but will 40 years be far enough to do the sighting in process. I've seen you need to shoot 20 and then 60 to get the correct tape.

    Thoughts?
